Wyndham Partners is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information and we take privacy and security of your personal information very seriously. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) complies with the Australian Privacy Principles to which it is bound, as set out within the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Privacy Act”). Wyndham Partners collects and holds personal information from various sources in the ordinary course of fulfillingour duties to the court and our clients.

- Information that can identify you, including date of birth or residence status; drivers licence number, passport details, marital status and photographs;
- any facts or opinions that are connected to any matter that we are conducting on behalf of a client or potential client; and
- any other personal information that is otherwise requested by us or provided by you.
The personal information collected or held by Wyndham Partners will be referred to in this policy as “personal information”.
Method of collection
In the majority of cases, we collect personal information directly from you—typically through completed forms, questionnaires, interviews, or phone conversations.Wyndham Partners may also obtain personal information about you from third parties, including referral sources, service providers, agents, professional advisors, past or present employers, or members of your family.

Wyndham Partners will use your personal information solely for the purpose for which it was provided, usually in connection with your matter with us, unless otherwise authorised. - conducting the effective management of our business, such as invoicing and account management (including collections), internal record keeping, financial modelling and analysis;
- compliance with our legal obligations; and
- other purposes related to our business.
Please note that if you choose not to provide the personal information we request, we may be unable to fulfil the associated service or function, such as providing legal assistance.Should we collect, store, or use your personal information in ways not outlined in this policy, we will ensure compliance with the Privacy Act and applicable legal requirements.Wyndham Partners securely stores personal information, including that which may be gathered prior to formally establishing a client relationship. This allows us to respond efficiently to future enquiries and to provide updates on services or legal developments that may be relevant to you.Wyndham Partners retains personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above and as otherwise specified in applicable record retention policies and procedures. At the conclusion of legal matters, we are required to keep legal files for a minimum period of 7 years from the closure of a legal file unless we are instructed to the contrary. In some cases, we may be required to retain documents for a longer period of time (e.g. documents that inform themaking of a Will).

We endeavour to keep all personal information safe by taking all reasonable precautions to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.It is essential that all personal information is kept confidential. - to organisations involved in debt collecting, including purchasers of debt, credit reporting agencies and courts, tribunals and regulatory authorities where you fail to pay for goods or services provided by us to you; and
- to third parties, including agents, suppliers or sub-contractors, who provide measurement, analytics and/or other business development services and who have been engaged to assist us to improve the effectiveness and distribution of business development and marketing activities.
